Role Overview

We are looking for an IT guy with exemplary customer service. You will be the primary contact for all technical and IT-related queries for all onsite systems. As such, we are looking for an all-rounder who loves problem-solving and thrives on learning new and different technologies. You will also be a strong completer-finisher, with a desire to respond to all queries promptly and professionally. This position would be an ideal step up for someone who is keen to progress from desktop support.

You will report directly to the Desktop Support Manager in Shanghai. You will work in a collaborative way to implement best-practice IT solutions while maintaining ongoing customer service.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for maintaining the normal operation of the company's internal clients;

- Responsible for maintaining the normal operation of internal clients;

- Responsible for hardware malfunction handling, such as client, network, telephone line, printer, etc.;

- Maintain and support the internal client application systems;

- Responding to client requests and requirements in a timely manner;

- The distribution, installation and troubleshooting of the client batch software;

- Responsible for cabling within the site and liaising with external suppliers as necessary;

- Set-up, control and maintain as necessary the security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer room, environmental monitoring;

- Based in Malaysia, support other southeast Asia (like Indonesia) users remotely. Ø Assist in ad hoc assigned projects;

Key Qualifications and Experience Essential

- Maintain IT assets inventory;

- Degree at HNC/HND/Ordinary/Bachelors level in a computer related discipline or equivalent experience;

- A good grounding of providing high volume, fast-paced desktop support;

- Has basic network troubleshooting knowledge, having CCNA would be a bonus;

- Familiar with security systems, computer room distribution, room air conditioning, computer room, and environmental monitoring and a desire to learn new and different technologies in these fields;

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PPT, Project, Visio, etc.);

- Knowledge in configuration management and routine maintenance of the AD, mainstream Windows and Mac systems, and mobile systems;

- Good at communicating with others in a proactive manner;

- Passionate about new technologies and a demonstrable enthusiasm in keeping upto-date with latest trends and solutions;

- Previous experience of sourcing and managing external suppliers;

- Solid IT service process experience and familiar with ITSM system;

- Mandarin capability would be advantage due to communication with Shanghai HQ;
